Mustela nivalis

Mustela nivalis aka Least Weasel is a predator of the Mustelidae family. These animals can be found in Europe, Asia and North America, including England, Japan and the islands of the Mediterranean. They like to open forest habitats, grasslands, shrubs, to parks and plantations below 3000 masl. With a body length of only 13-26 cm and a weight of 36-250 grams, the Dwarf Stoat has been named a member of the order of the smallest carnivores in the world. But don't be fooled by its tiny body, because this animal is a vicious active predator - it has even been known to kill rabbits up to 10x their own body weight. Apart from rabbits, these animals also often prey on hamsters, mice, small birds, and others.
